The 4C's

The 4Cs—color, clarity, cut and carat weight—are the globally accepted standards for assessing the quality of a diamond. A diamond's quality depends on a combination of all the four Cs.

CARAT

Carat measures how much a diamond weighs.

CLARITY

CUT

Cut determines how captivating the diamond is to the eye.

COLOR

Color refers to how clear or yellow a diamond is.

THE KRIN DIAMOND

Optically, qualitatively, aesthetically and in terms of properties, Blood Diamonds from a mine and Krin Diamonds made of the mineral called silicon carbide are exactly the same, shiny diamonds. But, the origin  matters, with Krin diamonds we opt for an ecologically and ethically improved process.

CLARITY

'Clarity' of a diamond depends on the inclusions (internal) and blemishes (external) a diamond has. The fewer inclusions or blemishes a diamond has, the brighter it is. Most inclusions and blemishes are only visible under a microscope.

CUT

'Cut' has the greatest effect on a diamond’s beauty. The more precise the diamond is cut, the more captivating the diamond is to the eye.

CARAT

'Carat' is a unit of measurement to specify the weight of a diamond. One carat is equal to 200 milligrams. Be aware that a diamond's size is not synonymous with its carat weight.

COLOR

'Color' refers to how clear a diamond is. In general, the highest quality diamonds are colorless, whereas lower quality diamonds have a slight yellow tint.

The diamond color scale goes from D (colorless) all the way to Z (light yellow). All Krin Diamonds fall in scale D.
